bTPW (blended Total Precipitable Water) products naming conventions: Within ftp satepsanone site, under .../BLTPW/data/HDFEOS/ NPR.COMP.PCT.Syyjjjhhmm.Eyyjjjhhmm.Thhmmss.he4.gz (percentage of TPW normal, or TPW anomaly - zipped hdf4 format) NPR.COMP.TPW.Syyjjjhhmm.Eyyjjjhhmm.Thhmmss.he4.gz (blended Total Precipitable Water - zipped hdf4 format) The above files represent the hdf4 data file for either the TPW anomaly or blended Total Precipitable Water. These above file formats demonstrate the start and end time in year, julian day, hour, and minutes for which the data file covers and also the time for which the data file was generated in hour, minutes, and seconds. under .../BLTPW/SOS/ tpw.2048x4096.Dyyjjj.Shhmm.Ehhmm.jjjhhmm.jpg (blended TPW global image - jpeg 2048x4096 pixel format ) The above jpeg image represents the global perspective for blended TPW. Inside these hdf files, you will find variables showing HDFEOS time including the "Time_Mean_TPW_PENTAD" variable. Each time variable represents the number of seconds since 0000 UTC on January 1, 1993. The btpw products use a Mercator projection with a 16-km resolution at the equator. The map is centered at the equator and 160 degrees West. It has 1437 rows and 2500 columns, which covers the earth from about 71 degrees North to 71 degrees South. The cut line is at 20 degrees East, which was chosen to emphasize ocean areas. The product output are shown as gridded data files, so the lat and lon are not included. Please refer to A_BTW_Latitude.txt and A_BTW_Longitude.txt for the lat and lon values of each pixel.
